Rehabilitation plays an important role in your home health services and can help in many ways. It can help restore your independence if you have lost the ability to care for yourself and require assistance. If you are unable to use part of your body (i.e. after a hip fracture), then it can help restore lost movement and strength. If you suffer from pain, therapy can help reduce your pain and teach you ways to manage it on your own. Therapy can help prevent falls before a debilitating injury occurs. Usually your therapist will give you a Home Program of activities, exercises, or guidance to allow you to maintain the improvements made after your rehab is discontinued.
